In order to accelerate the restoration of global cross-border circulation, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (the Greater Bay Area) will be integratedly developed, and healthcare development will be the first priority. Recently, the “Measures for accelerating the cross-border connection of medical services (referred to as “Cross-Border Medical Measures”) (《关于加快推动医疗服务跨境衔接的若干措施》) in Shenzhen was officially promulgated. The "Cross-Border Medical Measures" has responded to a number of topics that public concerned. A total of 11 measures in three aspects focusing on the “blocking points” that are most urgently needed to be opened up in the cross-border medical service links in the Greater Bay Area, to promote the freer cross-border circulation of high-quality medical and health resources, making it easier for Shenzhen people to see famous doctors from Hong Kong and use foreign new drugs, for Hong Kong and Macao residents to seek medical treatment in the mainland, and for cross-border transfer of patients to become more convenient. At the same time, Shenzhen government strengthen cooperation with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government to further expand the scope of cross-border medical services, optimize the port clearance mode of medical transfer vehicles, and explore the establishment of a barrier-free green channel for emergency medical transfer.

On April 15, Shenzhen Luohu Hospital Group (罗湖医院集团) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Aurora Medical Technology Hong Kong (Aurora-HK) Co., Ltd (奥洛瑞(香港)医疗科技集团有限公司). Due to the special geographical location of Luohu, there is a large number of Hong Kong residents living there. Luohu Hospital Group has been paying great attention to cross-border medical services, introducing international advanced medical technology, expanding service fields and improving medical technology and service levels.
