Mercy Breast Center pioneered a new model of collaboration between breast imaging and surgical teams allowingboth the imaging and surgical teams to focus on their areas of expertise and significantly improve the operational effectiveness of the entire breast center. The Mercy Breast Center model will be fully implemented in Aurora's Shenzhen Breast Center in the Greater Bay Area of China.
Founded by Dr. Steven E. Harms, the inventor of Aurora's breast MRI, the MANA Center in Arkansas has been awarded the highest honor of "National Breast Imaging Center of Excellence" by the American Imaging Association since 2014. The center is one of four breast imaging centers that Aurora has partnered with Walmart.
The close partnership with Walmart Group will also help Aurora grow its business globally in the future, replicating the Walmart global network and rapidly deploying to the countries where it needs to operate.
The Aurora Washington Center Breast Center (under construction) is located in Frederick County, 45 minutes from the US capital. The Center has introduced the unique Aurora imaging center and mobile BMRI program and is currently building world-class gene therapy and reproductive medicine programs. At the same time, the Center is also working closely with the North American Center of Beijing University of Chinese and Western Medicine to pilot an integrated Chinese and Western medicine program in breast diseases and cancer treatment in North America. The Aurora Washington Breast Center will soon be a key site in Aurora’s global network of health centers, supported by advanced clinicians and technology.
